Artist and designer Anna Coroneo was born in Sydney, Australia, but later moved to New York where she completed her graduate degree from Parsons in 2008. Her art is collected internationally and she now uses her prints on everything from wallpaper to sarongs. Known and loved for her signature use of bold colours and playful prints, her designs have fast become a cult buy for celebrities and fashion influencers such as Leandra Medine. She now spends her time between her studio in New York and her beautiful Georgian home in London but Anna's jet-set lifestyle means that when she does have some time off, she heads to the Maldives for the ultimate in relaxation.
What is your favorite holiday destination?
The Maldives tops my list of favourite beach holiday destinations. I love to go snorkeling and the marine life there is incredible. We also went swimming with Manta rays, which was unforgettable.
Where to stay?
The Four Seasons at Landaa Giraavaru. The resort occupies the entire island and really feels like a secluded paradise.
Where to eat?
We loved dining in our villa of an evening and the Blu Bar has a spectacular view of the sunset.
Best time of year to go?
High season is from December to March and is the best time to go. We went in September and were very lucky with the weather.
Deserted beach or beach club?
Deserted beach. My favourite beach was in front of our villa. I loved starting each day with a swim - I also really enjoy snorkeling and the marine life there is spectacular.
Sand or rocks?
What are the 5 items you pack each time without fail?
I often feel the cold on planes, so I always travel with soft scarves from my collection. I always pack a selection of our cotton sarongs and ponchos for beach holidays – I live in them all day and the prints are really fun and vibrant. I like to pack a wide-brimmed hat, that folds flat in the suitcase (a favourite is the Global Babe hat from Beach Flamingo). I always pack our snorkels, camera and sunglasses - my favourites are by Emmanuelle Khanh.
Bikini or one piece?
Bikini - bandeau bikinis are my favourite style! I like to avoid tan lines from straps.
Makeup or bare faced?
Bare-faced. I generally don’t like to wear a lot of makeup, and love just wearing moisturiser with an SPF on holiday. If we go out in the evenings, I like to put on beauty flash balm by Clarins, my Dior Show mascara and smudge my Mac eye pencil in Buried Treasure for smokey eyes. My favourite lip gloss at the moment is Chanel’s rouge coco gloss #119.
Name 3 of your favorite holiday beauty products?
1.Clarins 50+SPF face cream.
I never leave the house without moisturizer with spf and on beach holidays I try to be careful not to get sunburned. I like to use the Clarins 50+ SPF face cream on my face and neck, as it absorbs really well and has high sun protection.
2. Moroccan oil curl cream, for hair
I have naturally curly hair and this is my favourite product to use to eliminate frizz whilst smoothing out curls.
3. Lucas’ Pawpaw lip balm
I grew up in Sydney and have used this Aussie product for so many years. It’s great for moisturising chapped lips.
